Merkur offers the most qualitative technical products, gathered in one spot. On the domestic market we consolidate the leading position in sales of qualitative products for home gear, »make it yourself« products, electrotechnical, metalurgic, construction, and professional technical products. We also try to develop and solidate the label Merkur on our close foreign markets. We are acheving from 20 to 50% market share at individual article groups in Slovenia, and in the countries of South-east Europe we plan a 10% market share in the future years.
The company arose in 1896 and became an international succsessful Group merkur with almost 4.000 employees. Today, the Group Merkur besides the basic company Merkur d.d. consists of 14 other companies at home and abroad.
Thanks to the wide sales program, Group Merkur succsessfully satisfies the needs of final customers and companies. With wide-sales activity Group Merkur creates 50% sales income, and final customers know us as a company with modern, well stocked and friendly geared shopping centres.
The Epic group is the owner of Merkur franchise, it ownes one Merkur Epic store in the shopping centre Epicenter in Postojna.
